Research Creation Showcase 2022 (WSU)
The Research Creation Showcase, held annually by Western Sydney University, is a platform for academic staff to showcase their research endeavors to a wide audience. As a designer, I was tasked with creating various deliverables for the event, including branding, website design, motion graphics, and printed catalog. These materials were intended to visually communicate the research being presented, and create an engaging and cohesive experience for attendees.
The event was held at the Casula Powerhouse Art Centre, providing a fitting location for the presentation of innovative and thought-provoking research. The branding and design elements were intended to convey the academic and intellectual nature of the event, while also creating a sense of creativity and inspiration. The website and motion graphics were designed to provide an interactive and dynamic experience for attendees, while the printed catalog served as a tangible representation of the research being presented.
The Research Creation Showcase is an opportunity for academic staff to share their research with a wider audience and receive valuable feedback. The event is also an opportunity for the University to showcase the scholarly contributions of its academic staff, highlighting the valuable and innovative research being conducted at the institution. My role as a designer was to create a cohesive and engaging visual experience for attendees, which effectively communicated the research being presented and created a sense of excitement and inspiration.
