Fluent

The Fluent project was a collaborative project designed by Chantelle Micallef, where my collaboration was to capture the performer's movements in a 3-dimensional form. The project used two Kinect sensors which are motion sensing input devices that were originally developed for the Xbox 360 gaming console. These sensors use a combination of depth sensing, skeletal tracking, and color imaging to capture the motion of a performer in real-time.

In this project, my role was to capture dance movements through the use of Xbox Kinects. This was achieved by having the performer dance in front of the Kinect sensors, which then captured their movements in 3D form. The data from the sensors was then used to create a digital representation of the performer's movements, which could be further used in animation, visual effects, and other digital media.

The use of Kinect sensors in this project allowed for a unique approach to capturing dance movements, providing a new level of realism and detail to the final output. It also allowed for the ability to create interactive experiences by tracking the performer's movements in real-time and responding accordingly. Overall, the Fluent project was a creative and innovative use of technology to capture and represent dance movements in a new and exciting way.
