Raceless Campaign
Raceless is an interactive platform designed to raise awareness of passive racism, which is an under-expressed phenomenon. The platform aims to expose the personal experiences of racism through an interactive motion design, using the "knowledge-attitude-behavior" model to inspire others to challenge and defy racism. The Raceless concept is primarily aimed at students and young people.
The platform was prototyped to interact with users by touching the screen, and while they are doing it, they can read messages, creating a sense of connection between the design and humans. The interactive touch display kiosks were not installed, but it was prototyped to be installed at participating schools and universities, and it was connected with a mobile application, which allows users to post their experiences and share them with others on the platform. This functionality allows users to easily access the platform and engage with the content.
The interactive nature of the platform allows users to actively engage with the content and personal experiences, which can be more effective in raising awareness and inspiring action. The platform also provides a space for users to share their own experiences and connect with others who have similar experiences. Overall, the Raceless project is a unique and innovative way to raise awareness of passive racism and inspire change, it was only prototyped and not implemented yet. The mobile application was also prototyped and it was connected with the installation.
